What is the benefit of a frozen portion control program?
Ease of handling and no excess work or waste.  Product is blast frozen to give you a fresher than fresh product and packaging is added to maintain that quality.


Can injected product be cooked from a frozen state? 

We recommend that frozen product be cooked from a frozen state because chops will cook faster and produce a juicier and tender pork chop.

 

What is the purpose of injecting product?
To enhance flavor and give the meat a juicer texture and the ability to cook product from a frozen state.

 

Can injected product be used for healthcare?
Yes, the injection solution contains less than 1% salt which is approved by the healthcare industry.

How are your pork chops packed?
For ease of handling, every layer is separated with a poly liner and then packed in either a polybag or cryovac to ensure freshness and extend shelf life.

 

What is the recommended cooking temperature for pork products? 
It is recommended that pork be cooked to a medium doneness at an internal temperature of 160 degrees.

 

How do you defrost frozen pork products?
If you have frozen pork items that you wish to defrost prior to placing in the oven, pan them and place in refrigerated storage to allow for thawing under sanitary conditions.

 

At what temperature do you store frozen pork?
Frozen pork should be transported and stored below 0 degrees Fahrenheit.
